It's definitely chick-lit. The basis of the story isn't really very believable - 4 childhood friends all decide they love weddings and run a wedding business together - each taking over a part (photography, planning, floral/decorating, and cakes). A lot of the book is just random, the girls talking about this wedding or that. Then there's the actual plot about Mac and Carter...slightly more believable but still just not.
I'll probably read the rest of the series because I *did* like the characters...but it's not really one of the best chick-lit books I've read.
